“Julz is who you are looking for! Julz totally sorted us out for our wedding and we would highly, highly recommend her.
These are the words that come to mind when we think about Julz: organised, reliable, professional, stress-relieving, competent and fun!
She is truly excellent at her job and she absolutely made sure that our day would be just the perfect day that it turned out to be. We couldn’t be happier with Julz and how she helped us.
Right from when we first met Julz, she made it clear that a key part of her role was to relieve our anxiety in preparing what would be the biggest event of our lives.
She totally succeeded! She did that by meeting with us early on, providing us with very helpful planning documents, providing us with important advice, and even offering to meet with our mothers!
Closer to the day, Julz was really good at just checking in with us as to how things were going and then meeting again (including driving an hour to our wedding venue north of Auckland) to cover everything off leading up to the big day. She was always available and super helpful.
Following Julz’ advice, we held a wedding rehearsal the day before. This was crucial as we had a number of family members who had just flown in from overseas and it was really the first time we had everyone together to talk through the ceremony. Julz ran the rehearsal and was excellent in guiding everyone as to what to do. She did this after talking it all through with us, so it was always what we wanted and she made sure that we were always happy.
On the day itself, Julz just totally took over. She arrived early at the venue, completed the set up herself (which looked just how we wanted it), coordinated all the vendor deliveries and most importantly made sure that nobody had to contact us. She told us to turn off our phones we didn’t, but we could have Julz had it all under control. If there was a problem, we still don’t know about it!!
Julz made sure the ceremony went off without a hitch and then worked with the catering staff to get everything out as close to the schedule as possible.
In short, Julz made it all happen. So, if you are looking for someone to help plan and run your wedding, then look no further! Julz is amazing and we were so lucky to have her help us with our wedding.

“I had the pleasure of hiring Julz Baird from Dream Event Wedding Planning to setup, and co ordinate our DIY wedding at Jonkers Farm on the 24th February 2018. This project was our baby. DIY on a blank canvas, every detail I had organised down to a T. Having Julz come on board to help me execute all my Ideas, plans and items on the day was truly magical. Julz is the most beautiful person, and truly takes pride in what she does. She made our day so easy, and we didn’t worry about 1 thing. Everything I had asked her to do, she did with extra effort and her small touch. Her wedding coordination was incredible, everything flowed perfectly. Julz as a person is super friendly, bubbly, kind, reliable and attentive. She listens to your vision and needs to make your day the best it can be and beyond. Julz was an amazing on the day wedding coordinator. She met with us for a consultation, and as someone who has also worked in the wedding industry, I could tell straight away that she was experienced and very knowledgeable, and knows exactly what a bride and groom would need for organising their wedding day. A clear and detailed communicator – she was super helpful with the preps before the wedding and was a great help on the actual day. She’s a great problem solver, too and thinks on her feet! “Julia Baird was my wedding planner for my wedding in summer 2014.
It is very difficult to plan a wedding, let alone plan it from overseas and only arrive in the country 1 week prior! But with Julz there to help me every step away it made it so much more stress-free knowing that she was all over it.
As I contracted her quite late in the planning process, her role was mainly to help me make it all come together in the week leading up, on the day and post-event. Notwithstanding, she always made herself available to contact and provided many suggestions/ideas/ templates for me to use and gave me advise and constructive feedback on my ideas. We communicated through Skype regularly.
In the days before the wedding Julz was very proactive about ensuring things were coming together as planned spending all of her day organising and supervising so that I didn’t have too. I did not have a stress in the world! When there were minor issues with vendors I hired, she resolved them and went above and beyond to ensure there was no impact. On the day, she was critical to it all coming together while I got ready and her creative flare really shone through. I felt very comfortable leaving it in her capable hands. She worked extremely well with all the different vendors coming to site and the site owner. I only had good feedback from them on her. During the event everything ran to plan thanks to her magnificent coordination. She responded and accommodated to guests needs while still making sure my wedding vision was realised. The next day, she went above and beyond again, being the first back on site to arrange the clean up and coordinate the movement of a lot equipment, food and alcohol to a recovery session in a different location.
Not only is Julz very organised, a good communicator and pays attention to detail, but she is also fun friendly and very personable which are all the qualities you should look for in a wedding planner. I would highly recommended her for anyone planning a wedding either domestically or from overseas. She will be there every step of the way and she will make your day so much BETTER!

“I found Julz at wedding expo. I got talking with her, got her business card and called her about a week later. We went into lengthy conversations about the wedding i.e. venue, dates expectations and ultimately I chose option 3 (on the day coordination) as being financially feasible it was also what i was looking for. Throughout the year and a half process Julz provided me with appropriate contacts in which i was much appreciative for. She came with us to venue meetings and rehearsals. Communication was great and a week prior to the wedding Julz was constantly in contact with me which made me feel at ease. On the actual day Julz made it a hassle and stress free day, everything ran so smoothly and i’m absolutely 100% grateful that I chose Julz to be my planner she is AMAZING at her job and I highly recommend her and her services. Thanks Julz for helping to make our day ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!”

“We hired Julz for our on the day wedding coordination. She did so much prep beforehand and on the day she was absolutely amazing. I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day and everything was absolutely perfect – totally stress free and chill wedding day!
I came to my reception venue and everything was all set up exactly as I wanted it.
Julz was also a great problem solver! Certain solutions she came up with throughout the day I would never have thought of so that was fantastic!
Not to mention she played as a photographer’s assistant in capturing the most amazing photos!
